Promotion and tenure recommendations are among the most important decisions made at the University. The choices that the University makes in granting promotion and tenure are vital to its endeavors toward academic excellence. Guidelines for the promotion and/or tenure process are found in department and school faculty evaluation plans and the Faculty Senate Rules and Regulations, Article VI.

Open Meeting 2024
The Provost’s Office held its annual open meeting via ZOOM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, for departmental and school promotion and tenure committee members, chairpersons, deans, and all interested faculty members, to discuss procedures to be followed in the preparation and review of recommendations for promotion and tenure.
