The Minumum Qualifications for Individuals with Instructional Responsibilities policy outlines and documents accreditation standards adopted by the Higher Learning Commission for all individuals teaching “for credit” courses offered by the University of Kansas. This policy applies to all units/departments/schools appointing instructors of record.

 


Approved Terminal and Professional Degrees as Determined by the Discipline

 

An instructor of record holding a doctoral degree in the discipline or relevant field to the course being taught is qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. 

An instructor of record holding a professional or terminal degree listed below is qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the discipline or relevant field:
