Faculty Development Academies are day-long intensives, focused on a particular topic, giving faculty time to delve deep and develop a core capacity in a chosen area. Participants are welcome to register for as many dates as they’d like.

May 13: Creating Public Impact with Your Research

Interested in your research having a public impact? Join us for a day building skills that will help you develop a public message for your scholarship, prepare for media interviews and engagement, and disseminate and advocate for impact.

Day 1: Creating Public Impact with Your Research

May 14: Global Engagement

As a university with research and teaching expertise that has a global reach, join us for a day focused on exploring global academic opportunities, and connecting with global resources at KU to build global connections abroad.

Day 2: Global Engagement

Taking on a new role in your department? Wanting to grow your leadership capacity? Curious about how to make a positive difference? Join us for a day focused on expanding your leadership capacity, building teamwork skills, and growing your personal leadership journey.

Day 3: Academic Leadership

May 16: Graduate Student Mentorship

Wanting to expand your unit’s graduate mentoring program, learn best practices in effective mentoring, or develop key skills for advising graduate students in your lab or on your research team? Learn from colleagues and experts to develop mentoring expertise.

Ready to launch a summer of writing? We’ll start with creating your summer writing plan, and then we’ll write!
