Fifteen individuals at the University of Kansas Lawrence and Edwards campuses have earned instructional faculty promotions over the past year. “These educators represent some of the best in teaching and research excellence,” said Arash Mafi, chief academic officer, provost and executive vice chancellor.

The University of Kansas has announced the 12 faculty members selected for its 2026-27 Spotlight on Faculty Excellence program, which recognizes outstanding achievements in research, scholarship and creative activity across KU’s Lawrence, Edwards and Medical Center campuses.
