Career and specialty faculty with multi-term contracts, primarily focused on instructional responsibilities, have various titles: multi-term lecturers, professors of the practice, and teaching professors. Appointments are usually 2-3 years, and a comprehensive performance review is required before renewal of an appointment or promotion.
